WHY SOME STUDENTS QUIT LEARNING SPANISH AFTER GOING FOR A FEW DAYS TO THEIR COUNTRIES?
Since I´ve been teaching Spanish, I´ve found that, about 85% of the students who stop the lessons for a few days because they go back to their countries of origin for holidays or for a few days, when they return, or just a few days before, they send a message saying they have deciding to stop their lessons forever. Why is that? Firstly, I can say there is nothing to do with the method of learning but more about that “adiction” I mentioned in another post about quitting lessons. But t here are several reasons why some people might quit learning Spanish, especially after returning to their home country for a short period : 1. Lack of Immersion: Once back home, they may not have the same opportunities to practice the language in daily life, leading to decreased motivation. 2. Initial Motivation: Their motivation may have been primarily driven by the excitement of being in a Spanish-speaking country, and that enthusiasm can wane upon returning home , even if it is for a short period . 3 ....
